COVID-19 Updates & Policies

In light of COVID-19, I've prepared a thorough set of measures to help protect us all while ensuring that your body and mind can get the care they need! It is of utmost importance to me that I keep you, my clients, healthy and safe during our time together. With this in mind, please review my new safety measures below. These have been created in strict adherence to state guidelines, and also include some of my own additional measures. As always, please feel free to contact me with any questions or concerns that you may have.


What to Expect:

  • If you have had COVID-19 or flu-like symptoms or have been in contact with someone who has, please refrain from booking at this time and observe the 14-day quarantine and get tested.

  • All clients who have recently traveled out of state must self-quarantine in Vermont for the required 14-day period before coming in for an appointment.

  • All clients are required to wear a mask upon entering the Richardson Place building, and during massages while lying face-up. When lying face-down, you may remove your mask if you feel comfortable doing so (there will be a fabric hammock placed underneath the headrest to serve as a vapor barrier). I will have a limited number of disposable masks on hand if needed, but ask that you bring your own whenever possible. I will be wearing a mask throughout the entire appointment.

  • I will conduct a health pre-screening at the beginning of each appointment, to check in and ensure that there have been no Covid-related changes in your health since the appointment was made. This pre-screening will include taking your temperature with a non-contact forehead thermometer. For the sake of everyone's safety, if your temperature is at 100 degrees or higher, we will need to cancel your appointment.

  • I will be monitoring my own overall health daily and will do regular temperature checks on myself.

  • To ensure you have the flexibility to make the best decisions for your health and wellbeing, Covid-related cancellations are an exception to my cancellation policy. If you are feeling unwell, have been exposed to someone with Covid-19, or do not feel comfortable coming in for your appointment, please contact me as soon as possible to cancel without charge. This will give me time to fill the appointment vacancy.

  • All sheets, blankets, pillow cases, towels, etc. will be changed over completely before each client, and washed every evening.

  • All frequently touched and close-contact surfaces (doorknobs, furniture, massage table, face cradle cushion, bottles, etc.) will be disinfected between every client, using Protex Ultra solution.

  • There is a HEPA/Activated Carbon air purifier on in the room at all times during the day, to provide air filtration at a rate of 5-6 full air exchanges per hour.

  • Hand sanitizer will be available in the massage room, as well as throughout the building in wall-mounted dispensers. There is also a sink in my room that is available for hand-washing. Use of sanitizer and/or handwashing is encouraged.

While great care has been taken to create a relaxing, safe environment within my massage studio, I also want to acknowledge that there is an inherently increased risk of virus transmission that comes with the close-contact nature of massage. In the event that I have any doubts regarding my own health or a client's health, I will cancel appointments as necessary and take steps to ensure everyone's well-being.
